The Redeemed: Seeing the Messiah in the book of Ruth. This
story of mercy and grace is brought alive through this study. The DVD package
is very complete with many resources. I like the way the Leader’s Guide noteworthy
information on leading a Bible study with group guidelines, goals, and helpful tips for before the session and opening each session.
Each of the six sessions has a memory verse as well as the key verse from
Ruth. The viewers guide is very helpful and will keep the participants
engaged with the speaker, Dr. Sam Nadler a Jewish Believer and author of many
noted books. The leader will enjoy using the questions for group discussion plus
highlighting the principles gleaned from the session. The lessons bring out
in-depth knowledge of the characters in the book of Ruth. Study questions to do
on your own include a section called People, Places, and Things. This section
explains Jewish words or customs and includes either a map or informative chart
for an instant resource. Moabites and Ephrathites are explained as well as the
term Hesed. Scripture prophecies relating to the Messiah and the Levirate Marriage and
the Canaf are explained. The last session has a complete genealogy of Jesus
Christ. I received this pdf free from Rose Publishing Review Program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Ten Q & A About Angels
This has an awesome amount of scripture and information about angels. Friends of mine collect angels. Having quite a collection myself, several years ago I decided to get rid of my secular Christmas ornaments and focus on Jesus and his birth by collecting Nativity Scenes. I remember someone ask me if I collected angels, because I had a selection of angel pin, necklaces, and earrings. It was then I declared, “But I don’t worship them!” Reading this pamphlet opened my eyes to the false beliefs other religions’ connect to angels. My study of the book of Revelation gave me the most insight into heaven’s angels. New Age groups and other religion mistakenly claim angel messengers brought them a new message from God. Paul in his letter to the Galatians said “But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.” Through my decades of bible study I was grounded in the Holy Bible for my information about angels. I will have to admit, I liked the idea of a guardian angel. I took Psalm 34:7 as my reference. But this pamphlet has the scriptures and research to back it up. I can't wait to share with my friends. Noah's Ark
This has got to be one of my favorite pamphlets. Noah’s Ark is a story every child has heard in Bible School. The colorful drawings showing the size of the Ark in proportion to a soccer fields and an eighteen wheeler truck is exceptional. Kid love that measurements make sense in elements they understand. The many facts are a bonus for teachers laid out in a timeline for each incident in the story: when the door was shut by God, when the birds were released, when Noah opened the roof. A realistic view of the inside of the ark and how all the animals fit inside gives us an idea of how they all could fit inside. There is a colorful Table of Nations map showing the area where Noah’s three sons moved. A map showing Mount Ararat where the ark is rumored to be. This is a great resource for churches Vacation Bible School programs and bible study.I received this pdf free from Rose Publishing Review Program. I was not required to write a positive review. 24 Ways to Explain the Gospel
As Christians many of us born into the church, we have our own
vocabulary. Metaphors make abstract concepts easier to understand. This pamphlet takes words like life and death and uses common experiences in our life
to help people to connect to concepts of religion. As a voice for foster children one metaphor important
to me at this time is “family.” Through Jesus, believers become part of the
family of God. We are adopted and have the full rights of a son. Orphans
represent life apart from God without His love. Now anyone who in
Christ can call upon God and He is their Abba, "Daddy." Other pairings of the
metaphor uses Relationships of friend and enemy. Charts are colorful and
clearly define the elements of the metaphors: positive and negative followed by
several Biblical illustrations. The writer’s approach was fresh and new to me and gave me much
information to process. I received this PDF from Rose Publishing for honest opinion. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commissions 16 CFR, Part 255

God and Me 52 Week Devotional for Girls 10-12
I enjoyed the introduction for this book of devotions. They
compare the devotional book with growing a garden getting rid of the “bugs” in your life like TV
and the internet. Basking in the sunshine of God’s love and the rain of His blessing
as you get ready to grow in God’s garden. Several years ago I did a bulletin
board for my fourth grade student using vegetables. Lettuce be kind, obedient;
turnip for school on time, prepared; squash bad manners, hurtful words. The
analogy is a good one for kids. It offers a hands-on examples of growing as Jesus
did. “He grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the
people.” Fifty-two weeks of valuable lesson for young girls. Each week the
girls have a new bible verse. A short story is followed by “Your Turn” a couple
questions to help them discover things about themselves. Each day ends with a
Prayer pertaining to the values taught that day. I was not required to write a

God and Me Devotional for Girls ages four through seven
God and Me Devotional for girls ages four through seven provides a week’s worth of devotions. Colorful pictures provide multicultural illustrations and names in a short story. Every day a Bible verse is presented in a child-friendly format and a simple prayer lets the child repeat the prayer after the parent. The “Talk about it” feature has three or four questions to engage the girls to think deeply about the lessons. It teaches how to be helpful, thankful, obedient, and kind. One lesson teaches “I am special” and others shares how God helps me to trust him and know Him. “Try This” uses pictures that allow the girls to count or draw or trace a path. The bright colorful drawings show friends being kind and helping others. Our grandchildren today have the opportunity to meet with children of other cultures. This read it to me book is by Rose Kidz is a great resource of a church nursery too. I received this pdf free from Rose Publishing Review Program. I was not required to write a positive review. God in Me for Little Ones 2 to 3.
God in Me for Little Ones 2 to 3. A weeks worth of devotions
for Girls ages 2 or 3 year old. Each day has a relevant lessons for toddlers; kindness,
obedience, and sharing. Colorful illustrations cover the thirty-six pages using
multi-cultural drawings and names are a welcome addition for Christian materials.
After each story there are three or four questions for parents to engage the
child in deeper discussions. A section called “Try this!” Gives children an
activity to look at the pictures and count objects or compare characters hair
and eye color; another lesson on differences and similarities. This is so
important for our children today. My niece’s daughters lived in El Paso and
were often intimidated being the only white children on the playground or in
the day care. Now they live in SC and my niece would welcome some diversity in
their play groups. Simple prayers help children talk to God. The bible verses
called “God’s Words” are short usually 3 words; easily memorized and recalled. I received this pdf free from Rose Publishing Review Program. I was not required to write a positive review. God and Money
In the forward Randy Alcorn said it is common to see the
older generation giving a greater percentage of our income to the Lord’s work. He was
encouraged by the authors John and Greg to reach the “millennial generation.” The first section called the foundation is essential
information for the “me generation” who feel entitled but not inclined to
share, “that all of our material
provision should be used to honor God, not just our excess.”
“Rather, our goal is to summarize the Bible’s key lessons on
money, wealth, and generosity as commonly understood and interpreted by the
Church today.” The authors take over 2000 verses in the bible concerning
wealth, money.
God clearly considers
enacting justice for the poor a key responsibility of those blessed with wealth.
Beginning in Genesis the authors walk us through the
characters of the Bible giving illustrations of the quality of generosity. How
we use the wealth God has given us is important in the Lord’s eyes. Jesus used many parables to teach about God’s
on our gifts and how we should properly use them.
I was really hoping this book was easy reading. I should
have known when the authors went to Harvard. This book is way deeper than I
wanted to go. But it would be a great resource for pastors, deacon, elders, and
financial committee members. Sadly it validated what I knew true. When it comes
to giving, the church is not much different than secular society. My scripture
verse for today. 2 Corinthians 6:12. "Just because something is
technically legal does not mean it is spiritually appropriate." This is
especially true with God's money. As Christians we are commanded to pay taxes.
Using loopholes to avoid paying taxes is not honoring to God. I was asked to serve on
the finance committee at my church. It was naïve to think I could change “the
way we had always done it.” I wanted to look at last year’s giving and prepare
the budget according to our average offerings. As stated in the book once it is established
that the money we think is ours, all belongs to God. The question is not how
much we should give to God. The real question is how much money do we really require to meet our needs.
